On Wednesday, April 18. 2018, Vincent Longo and Matthew Solomon's UROP students won a "Blue Ribbon of Excellence" at the UROP Spring Research Symposium for their project entitled "Making a 21st-Century Archive: Orson Welles's HEART OF DARKNESS." The award is only given to a select group of projects during each of the poster sessions during the symposium. The award was specifically given for the work done by the “Anti-fascism in Hollywood” group, Brooke Erlich and Darby Stipe and led by Elijah Segraves. This is their project’s second Blue Ribbon in a row.

The award-winning students are as follows (pictured from left to right, back row): Danielle Williams, Brianna Kucharski, Darby Stipe, Brooke Erlich, Alexandra Niforos, Rachel Byrum (front row) Erin Ringel, Sydney Simoncini, (Vincent Longo, mentor), Elijah Segraves, and Jordan Stanton.
