Censored is an installation that challenges the ways in which we consider the gendered body. A video of a shirtless man conducting activities typically assigned to the female is projection mapped onto a mannequin - his nipples censored throughout the duration of the piece. While observing the work, spectators hear an audio compilation of commentary by figures in the media. Censored fragments the male body in ways rarely seen within popular culture, and challenges the ways in which gender is typically presented to us through popular media.
