Associate Professor Colin Gunckel and Assistant Professor Tatiana Reinoza (Notre Dame) were awarded $68,000 by the Terra Foundation for American Art to initiate their project Latinx Art: Histories and Futures, which will create accessible, public-facing resources on Latinx art for students and educators.
The initiative is a collaborative partnership between Smarthistory (the most visited art history resource online) and a team of art historians at UCLA, Oberlin College, and the University of Texas at Austin. Dedicated to building a more robust, inclusive, and intersectional art history, the project will also foster collaborations between a new generation of graduate students and established scholars in the field.
