FTVM Alum Noah Stahl ('11) Screens New Film and Holds Q & A on Campus
Noah Stahl (FTVM '11) is currently a producer at the Department of Motion Pictures (DMP). Most recently, he was executive producer of Monsters and Men, Reinaldo Marcus Green's feature debut, which won a Special Jury Prize at Sundance earlier this month. Stahl's PATTI CAKE$, the narrative debut of director/ writer/composer Geremy Jasper, played at Sundance and Directors' Fortnight at Cannes in 2017.
PATTICAKE$, Stahl's first movie as producer, is an underdog story about aspiring rapper Patricia Dombrowski (a.k.a. Patti Cake$) who is on an unlikely quest for glory in her downtrodden hometown in New Jersey.
The New York Times says of PATTI CAKE$, "it is impossible not to root for" and describes the lead, Danielle Macdonald, as "simply a revelation."
Stahl screened the film on Thursday, February 1, 2018, at 8:00 p.m. in the Natural Science Auditorium.
On February 2, 2018, Stahl conducted an open discussion in MLB Auditorium 2 from 4:00 -5:30 p.m wherein he addressed questions from the audience about his film and his work in the industry.
