About
Areas of specialization: Physical Oceanography, Kinetic Energy Cascade, Satellite Remote Sensing
The central goal of my research is to investigate the dynamics of the ocean surface, specifically focusing on the kinetic energy cascade across different scales. My postdoctoral research utilizes data from the Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) satellite mission to diagnose ocean surface energy transfers. Unlike traditional altimetry, SWOT provides high-resolution, two-dimensional sea surface height measurements, offering a unique opportunity to observe submesoscale processes. By leveraging these advanced satellite observations, I aim to enhance our understanding of how kinetic energy cascades through the ocean, a critical process for global ocean circulation and climate dynamics.
