About
Sydney graduated from Michigan State University in 2020 with bachelor's degrees in physics and geological sciences and soon after joined EARTH as a graduate student with Dr. Yihe Huang. She earned her PhD in 2025. Her research focuses on improving earthquake hazard assessments and earthquake magnitude characterization for induced and natural earthquakes in the central US and California. She is now a Lecturer I teaching introductory geoscience courses.
