About
Corinne's research focuses on the burial of carbon in ocean sediment during the Eocene-Oligocene Transition (35-million years ago). Factors, such as ocean circulation/plate tectonics, primary productivity, and Antarctic Ice Sheet growth, impacted the rate of atmospheric carbon-dioxide removal via global oceans at this time. She's also examining the variability of early glacial and interglacial episodes across this transition to identify the CO2 and ice sheet thresholds needed to stabilize global temperatures and glaciation throughout the Cenozoic.
