New ITS Remote Office Hours Queue application
Information and Technology Services (ITS) is listening to campus needs regarding online instruction and learning. As advisors seek to manage remote contact with students, ITS has created a Remote Office Hours Queue application to host drop-in sessions over BlueJeans video conferencing.
How it works: Students log in to the application, see the number of people waiting in the host’s queue, and request to join the line. Remote Office Hours Queue automatically creates a unique and private BlueJeans meeting ID for their own personal session.
Remote Office Hours Queue is a work in progress. ITS will continue to improve the initial implementation, and is working urgently to add the ability to share drop-in queues with teams who collaborate to the application.
Learn more about using Remote Office Hours Queue and feel free to share this information with others you feel would benefit from this application.
