Zell Visiting Writers Series readings and Q&As are free and open to the public and will be offered both virtually (via Zoom) and in person (in UMMA's Stern Auditorium). Seats are offered on a first come, first served basis; please arrive early to secure a spot.
Richard Siken is a poet and painter. His third collection of poems, I Do Know Some Things (Copper Canyon, 2025), was a finalist for the 2025 National Book Award in Poetry. His other books are War of the Foxes (Copper Canyon, 2015), a Lannan Literary Selection, and Crush (Yale University Press, 2005), winner of the Yale Series of Younger Poets Prize, selected by Louise Glück, the LAMBDA Literary Award for Gay Poetry, and The Publishing Triangle’s Thom Gunn Award, as well as a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award in Poetry. Siken has received fellowships from Lannan Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts. He lives in Tucson.

The Hatcher Library also offers a reflection room (4th Floor South Stacks), and a lactation room (Room 13W, an anteroom to the basement women's staff restroom, or Room 108B, an anteroom of the first floor women's restroom). For Public Parking: The Maynard Street Public Parking Structure (324 Maynard St., Ann Arbor) or The Forest Avenue Public Parking Structure (650 South Forest Ave., Ann Arbor) . All of these options include parking spots for individuals with disabilities.
