Terri Sarris Independent Spirit Award
After Senior Lecturer Emerita, Terri Sarris, retired from the Department of Film, Television, and Media, a group of her former students and Terri's family made gifts and pledges in Terri's honor to create the Terri Sarris Independent Spirit Award. The purpose of the award is to recognize FTVM students who've demonstrated unique creative vision and to spotlight the exemplary teaching and mentorship of the Department's production lecturers. This need based scholarship supports and recognizes fulltime FTVM majors who think outside the box, make bold, independent choices, and pursue creative excellence in film production.
