Kaleb A. Brown attended the Collegium for the 2019 Silent Film Festival in Pordenone, Italy. Kaleb reflects on his experience: "For a long time, I have been enamoured with Silent Films. Thanks to funding from the Edward Stasheff, I was able to attend the collegium for the 2019 Silent Film Festival, furthering my knowledge and appreciation of the art form. This was my first film festival, and I quite enjoyed being able to watch a myriad of movies that I'd never have seen otherwise. The film festival really opened my eyes [to] what silent films can do. As part of the collegium, I got to ask experts in the field questions about silent films and film festivals, furthering my knowledge. I'm grateful for this opportunity; I'm even more excited to study films and film history."
