Spending part of her life growing up on a sailboat, it’s no surprise that Kiwi Smith is full of unique stories and a terrific sense of humor. Her long-time writing partnership with Karen McCullah has yielded some of Hollywood’s most memorable comedies: The Ugly Truth, Legally Blonde and The House Bunny. Kiwi’s boundless sense of fun and the hip style she shares with Karen are also responsible for the ingenious Shakespeare adaptations, She’s the Man and 10 Things I Hate About You.  Kiwi was a producer of Drew Barrymore’s directorial debut, WHIP IT. She also wrote & directed two short films starring Anna Faris: The Spleenectomy and The Multi-Hyphenate. Kiwi has a novel in poems, The Geography of Girlhood, and her upcoming book, a narrative infused with poetry called Trinkets, published by Little Brown in 2012. A serial-collaborator and ubiquitous presence around Hollywood, Kiwi nurtures an ever-burgeoning slate of projects as only a prolific multi-hyphenate can.
