Dr. Tanite Chahwan, a recent doctoral studies recipient from Film, Television, and Media, presents Kawakeb Masr: 1950s Egyptian Cinema and Stardom, an audiovisual essay that brings to life the films, stars, and cultural imagination of 1950s Egypt. Blending research with personal reflection, this film takes audiences on a journey through Egyptian cinema, exploring stardom, identity, and the making of a nation on screen.
