Ocean acidification caused by high carbon dioxide levels dissolving the seafloor

The speed estimates for ocean-bottom currents came from a high-resolution ocean model developed in the lab of U-M physical oceanographer Brian Arbic by former postdoctoral fellow David Trossman, who is now a research associate at the University of Texas.
