An RC student poses as Cordelia in the RC course "Shakespeare on the Stage."

The Keene Theater at the Residential College is the shared home of a number of arts programs and organizations, including the RC Music Program, the RC Drama Program, the RC Players, the Center for World Performance Studies, and RC Student Forums. Here at the Keene, we serve the RC community by hosting a wide variety of events, from plays to musicals, concerts, RC courses, movie screenings, student workshops, and community gatherings. Anything that takes place on a stage has come to life at the Keene!

The Kate Mendelsohn Stage has welcomed original student productions, visiting artists, and faculty performances alike, making the Keene a hub for all of the RC's onstage arts. We support students at every stage of their artistic journey, providing not just a performance space, but a place to rehearse, collaborate, experiment, learn, and grow. With professional lighting and sound, the Keene is equipped to bring ambitious visions to life. From the dramatic to the whimsical, the classical to the cutting-edge, we're committed to fostering a vibrant and inclusive haven for the arts that reflects the diversity and creativity of the RC community.
