Valley of Mexico Data
Here are the Valley of Mexico survey data collected by University of Michigan projects directed by Jeffrey R. Parsons between 1967 and 1973, and by Richard E. Blanton in 1969. These descriptive data were originally published in 1983 as Archaeological Settlement Pattern Data from the Chalco, Xochimilco, Ixtapalapa, Texcoco and Zumpango Regions, Mexico, Technical Report No. 14, Museum of Anthropology, University of Michigan, by J.R. Parsons, K.W. Kintigh, and S.A. Gregg. Analyses and fuller descriptions of the survey data were published in the following monographs:
Blanton, R.E. Prehispanic Settlement Patterns of the Ixtapalapa Peninsula Region, Mexico. Occasional Papers in Anthropology No. 6, Dept. of Anthropology, The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, 1972.
Parsons, J.R. Prehistoric Settlement Patterns in the Texcoco Region, Mexico. Memoirs, No. 3, Museum of Anthropology, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, 1971.
Parsons, J.R. Prehispanic Settlement Patterns in the Northwestern Valley of Mexico: The Zumpango Region. Memoirs, No. 45, Museum of Anthropology, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, 2008.
Parsons, J.R., E. Brumfiel, M. Parsons, and D. Wilson. Prehispanic Settlement Patterns in the Southern Valley of Mexico: The Chalco-Xochimilco Region. Memoirs, No. 14, Museum of Anthropology, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, 1982.
All of the data are available to view online. However, because of the size and complexity of the dataset, most people will find it more convenient to download the data to their own computers to manipulate using their favorite database or spreadsheet program. Therefore, the data are provided in two formats: (1) a tab delimited text format and (2) an Excel 97 spreadsheet format. All modern spreadsheet and database software should be capable of reading one of these three formats.

Survey Outline Data
These are the UTM coordinates that trace the boundaries of the survey region. Most users will not need to get this information, but it is here for historic purposes regardless.
