When search engines crawl a page, they look at titles, headings, and overall content structure in order to index the page and determine its position on the search engine results page. These are also factors to consider for accessibility, ensuring that the content is clear and provides a good user experience across multiple audiences and devices.

For example, using descriptive text for a link helps search engines understand the context of the link and how it fits with the content in addition to providing context for where a link will take a visitor using a screen reader.

  • This helps search engines quickly understand what your page is about, and it gives users a clear idea of the content.
• Use clear, organized headings(H2, H3, etc.):

• Add alt-text to images:
  • Alt text describes what's in an image, which helps people using screen readers, and also gives search engines more context.
• Enter meta descriptions for pages:
  • This is the short description that appears under the page title in search results, which is a key SEO factor.
• Avoid thin content:
  • Pages with very little content or unclear messaging don’t rank well. Make sure your content is complete and informative.
