LSA Faculty Funding & Grants

LSA Technology Services staff are available to explore, plan, and support LSA faculty instructional technology projects, including assistance in identifying and applying for relevant funding opportunities. Grants are open to all instructional staff in the College of LSA – Ann Arbor.

To ensure a successful proposal, faculty are encouraged to work with one of the College’s instructional technology consultants when developing their proposal.  Consultants can assist faculty in learning about options, organizing ideas, refining the grant application, planning project implementation, creating assessment strategies. LEVEL I GRANTS

Grants of up to $5,000 are available to LSA faculty members to support creative efforts to use instructional technologies in undergraduate courses. 

 

 

LEVEL II GRANTS

Grants of up to $15,000 are available to LSA faculty members and groups of faculty to carry out more substantial and especially innovative undergraduate curricular developments that take advantage of new instructional technologies.

 

 

TEACHING TRANSFORMED GRANTS

Grants of up to $12,500 are available to LSA faculty members who have had little-to-no direct experience using technology in their teaching, but who are still eager to learn and wish to explore technology-based pedagogies in transformative ways. 

 

 

NEW INITIATIVES/NEW INSTRUCTION (NINI)

Funding is available to LSA Faculty and Lecturers to foster student success through inclusive teaching practices and innovative teaching methods. Past awards have ranged from $15,000 to $75,000.
