About
Wyatt’s main research interests are in sociolinguistics, prosody, and linguistic fieldwork. He is particularly interested in prosodic variation at the intersections of rurality versus urbanism, class, gender, and sexuality. In 2018 he received a Fulbright Fellowship in order to conduct fieldwork on the code-switching practices and language ideologies of Moroccan youth after graduating from Pitzer College with a Bachelor of Arts in linguistics and Middle East / North African studies. He hopes to pursue fieldwork further, focusing on the languages of the Afroasiatic language family.
