At the Annual Annual LSA Staff Achievement Award ceremony on May 14, 2026, Carl Abrego, the Chief Administrator for the Linguistics Department (and also, along with the Residential College and Weinberg Institute for Cognitive Science) received the LSA Outstanding Chief Administrator Award in the Social Sciences division. This award was established by Chief Administrators and is awarded by Chief Administrators to a colleague. The award recognizes an individual’s accomplishments, but also specifically the support, mentoring and encouragement that the award recipient provides to their colleagues. Many congratulations, Carl!
