The ELI Graduate Writing Clinic is a free service open to all members of the U-M community, including international students, faculty, staff, and scholars. In Writing Clinic sessions, you will get help identifying your writing strengths and weaknesses, as well as guided self-help designed to help you become a critical, independent writer.
The Writing Clinic is a short-term resource designed as a supplement to ELI writing courses, not an alternative to them. The purpose of Clinic sessions is not to provide copy-editing, but to work on organization, flow of ideas, and other macro writing issues, and to help you identify and learn to self-correct your own language issues. No credit is awarded for the Writing Clinic.
The Writing Clinic is offered in fall, winter, spring, and summer terms.
