Tracy Frank is the C. Bertrand Schultz Professor of Stratigraphy in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she has been a faculty member since 2004. Tracy completed her undergraduate studies at Iowa State University and did her graduate work at the University of Michigan, earning a Ph.D. in 1996. She spent two years at Penn State as a NSF Postdoctoral Fellow before moving to her first faculty position at the University of Queensland in Australia. Tracy’s research and teaching interests include carbonate sedimentology, geochemistry, and diagenesis. Tracy currently serves as Vice President of the International Association of Sedimentologists. She lives in Lincoln, NE with her husband, Chris Fielding, who is also a geologist.
