About
Audrey Halversen is a political communication scholar who uses multiple methods (surveys, experiments, interviews) to examine the social dimensions of online political expression and information sharing. Specifically, her work seeks to understand how our social connections influence our willingness to speak out politically, expose us to political information and news, and impact how we interpret this information. Her research is especially interested in political communication through emerging formats, such as political memes, short-form videos, and influencer content.
Audrey's work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, including Social Media + Society, the Journal of Computer-mediated Communication, the International Journal of Communication, Journalism Studies, and the International Journal of Press/Politics.
