About
Audrey Halversen is a political communication scholar who uses multiple methods (surveys, experiments, interviews) to examine the social dimensions of online political expression and information sharing. Specifically, her work investigates how online political expressions affect interpersonal relationships, as well as how people's social connections influence their willingness to speak out politically and affect how they interpret political information. Her research is especially interested in political communication through emerging formats, such as political memes and short-form videos.
Audrey's work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, including Social Media + Society, the Journal of Computer-mediated Communication, the International Journal of Communication, Journalism Studies, and the International Journal of Press/Politics.
