Graduate Students Annie Zhang and Kristen Zhang win Top Paper Awards from the AEJMC ComSHER Division
Two Communication and Media graduate students, Annie Zhang and Kristen Zhang, have been honored with Top Paper Awards from the division of Communicating Science, Health, Environment and Risk (ComSHER), a part of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC).
Annie Zhang’s paper, Performing “The Scientist”: Understanding How Scientists Manage Their Self-Presentation on Social Media, won first place in the Top Student Paper category. This paper is part of her dissertation research.
Kristen Zhang’s paper, Inspiring or Distant? The Dual Role of Science Fiction in Climate Change Communication, won second place in the Top Faculty Paper category. This outstanding work stems from her first-year project.
Both papers will be presented during the ComSHER Top Paper Session at the AEJMC Annual Conference on Saturday, August 9, from 4:45 to 6:00 PM. If you plan to attend, don't forget to stop by!
