Research Themes
As the scientific challenges of national importance become more complex, the research in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Michigan continues to evolve. Our activies to find cleaner energy sources, discover greener chemical production methods, develop more sensitive environmental monitoring methods, improve & expand biomedical diagnostics, and devise better therapeutics cuts across traditional boundaries. Accordingly, our ongoing work spans several research themes:
