Research interests:  North American archaeology (Southwest), small-scale farming communities, community engagement and museum anthropology

Lisa Young is interested in the development and variation in the organization of small-scale farming communities in North America, especially the southwestern United States. She is also interested in the importance of archaeology for contemporary communities and incorporates public outreach into her archaeological research.
