Completing General Degree Requirements as an Economics Major
In addition to completing the requirements for the Economics major you will need to complete a total of 120 credits and the General Degree Requirements. Transfer credit can count for all General Degree Requirements.
Courses that transfer with the U-M subject ECON cannot be used for Area Distribution for Economics majors. Therefore, Glen Oaks’ ECON 203 and 204 cannot be used to fulfill social science distribution as they are listed on the General Degree Requirement Transfer Guide.
Quantitative Reasoning Requirement (QR). Multiple courses required for the Economics major will fulfill QR so you do not plan to complete anything outside of the major for this requirement.
