Kelsi Caywood is a mixed methods researcher of gender inequality, family, and work in the United States and East Asia. She is a PhD candidate in Sociology at the University of Michigan and a predoctoral trainee at the U-M Population Studies Center.
Her dissertation uses mixed methods to study the menopause transition. Her collaborative work has examined family caregiving, gender and health, and immigration policy, with publications in Sociological Forum, International Migration Review, Journal of Global Health, and Journal of Affective Disorders.
Before her PhD studies, Kelsi was a research associate at Stanford University’s Walter H. Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from Yale University, an M.A. in China Studies (Law and Society) from Peking University, and an M.A. in International Policy from Stanford University.
