About
Jasmine's dissertation focuses on people's experiences of surveillance and criminalization within California's Central Valley.

She is also the founder of the Central Valley Network for Families and Justice, a group dedicated to connecting resources for families affected by incarceration.
Jasmine's work is grounded in a commitment to equity and community-driven change through linking policy research and advocacy to elevate the voices of those often excluded from decision-making processes.
Jasmine graduated with a Bachelor's in Sociology from UC Berkeley in 2017 and a Master's in Sociology from University of Michigan in 2022 as a first-generation student and a mother of two, Antonio-Jose and Selena.
