About
Elizabeth is a doctoral candidate in Sociology and Social Work. Her research examines how politics enters psychotherapy across multiple levels, with a focus on three areas: (a) therapists' perceptions of politics in clinical practice, including how they construct and negotiate clinical neutrality, individual ideological commitments, self-disclosure, identity, and professional ethics; (b) the institutional dynamics that shape the boundaries between what is understood as "clinical" versus "political" within therapy; and (c) a broader theoretical and historical analysis of power and values in psychotherapy.
