About
Brigit recently graduated from Southwestern University with a degree in Sociology and a minor in Race and Ethnic Studies. As an undergraduate, she conducted mixed methods research on various topics, including racialized surveillance in neighborhoods and the impact of gender on climate change perception. Maintaining a mixed methods approach, she is excited to explore a new facet of her sociological research interest: racial boundary making, stratification, and how both processes inform social inequality. More specifically, she intends to focus on multiracial socialization, anti-Blackness, and how multiraciality is institutionalized. Brigit has lived in Texas her whole life and is perhaps unprepared but excited for the chance of experiencing all four seasons!
