As a soon-to-be grad or recent LSA graduate, you’ve gained a ton of knowledge since first setting foot on campus. Through years of study, discussion with others, independent or guided exploration, and experiential learning, you've developed you both personally and professionally. We encourage you to take this learning mindset that is deeply rooted in the liberal arts and actively apply it to the life choices you are making now and in the future.

U-M Career Resources available following graduation:
- LSA Opportunity Hub - Access online guides and Canvas learning resources
- University Career Center - Services, including appointments for search strategy, resume/cover letter review, and interview prep, as well as access to tools like Handshake and Big Interview, are available for 18 months following graduation
- University Alumni Association Career Resources - Free career webinars and resources available to all, and additional professional development resources for members (first year free!)
- Newnan Pre-Health/Pre-Law Advising - Support in applying to law school and health-related grad programs
- CEW+ - Career counseling available to people affiliated with U-M and community members, with particular expertise supporting nontraditional students

Articulate the Value of Your LSA Experience
You’ve developed unique skills, knowledge, perspectives, and interests during your time as an LSA student. What are three meaningful or enjoyable things from your LSA experience that you want to carry forward? How might each of those things inform what you want to do next?
Determine Your Priorities
Set a goal that you want to work towards and envision specific scenarios related to your goal. What would it look like for your most central needs and wants to be met? What would make that situation truly ideal? What conditions would be tolerable, especially temporarily, and what would be unacceptable? Think about your needs and preferences across various factors, such as:
- Type of work
- Schedule
- Location
- Pay & benefits
- Organization culture
- Accommodations
- Personal responsibilities
- Visa requirements
Figure Out Next Steps
With your goal and priorities in mind, identify individual steps you might need to take to make headway towards your goal. What information do you need to consult? Who do you need to talk to?
