Mentorship Program Manager
About
Desiree manages the Hub’s mentorship program, an academic year-long initiative that facilitates professional relationships between current LSA students and alums. They have a deep commitment to racial justice and educational equity, and takes seriously their charge to create a concrete, strategic plan that prioritizes the diverse experiences and backgrounds of the program’s mentees and mentors. Desiree believes in the power of a liberal arts education and she works to support LSA students as they learn to critically analyze and engage with our complex, diverse world.
As both a Michigan alum and member of the Alum Engagement team, Desiree also understands the benefits of having one of the largest living networks of alums in the country. U-M is connected to many people with diverse identities and experiences, and her mission is to leverage this diversity to create a more inclusive, equitable program where all LSA students and alums can feel welcome.
