Assistant Dean of Student Development & Career Initiatives
About
Joslyn leads the LSA Opportunity Hub to deliver scalable, robust, and transformative career programs to the LSA student body. Her primary role is shaping the organization and positioning the team to successfully pursue the Hub’s mission of providing U-M’s liberal arts and sciences students the tools they need to develop their career aspirations and their professional identities.
At the core of her work is relationship building. Joslyn works to build and cultivate relationships with faculty and leadership across the college and the university. She also works to form partnerships with employers and alums to ultimately create student access to experiential career opportunities and resources.
Joslyn recognizes that the undergraduate journey for the liberal arts and sciences student is a pivotal period in their life and has previously researched the life-wide learning experiences that helps adults transition into purposeful work. Through her role, Joslyn can empower LSA students to explore potential pathways with intentionality by helping them gain access to social capital. She believes that when students are able to engage in meaningful opportunities, they're better equipped to make meaning of their experiences and effect change. For Joslyn, this work is rewarding, enabling her to fulfill her purpose of helping others live out their purpose!
