Sally Thomason Gives Plenary Talk at the University of Brasilia
U-M Linguistics Professor Sally Thomason gave a plenary talk at the 5th International Meeting on Tupían Languages and Cultures and 2nd International Meeting on Archeology and Historical Linguistics of South American Indigenous Languages.
Her talk was entitled “When is Language Contact the Best Explanation for a Linguistic Change?” The talk took place at the University of Brasilia, Brazil, in early August. The conference was a memorial tribute to Professor Aryon Rodriquez.
