Martin Mössmer is a co-author on a newly published study in Developmental Psychology, titled “Instrument adaptation for measuring early child language development across multilingual and sociocultural diverse settings.” In this paper, Mössmer and his co-authors evaluate the application of various measurement instruments for early child language development in diverse multilingual and sociocultural settings. The paper, co-authored by a team of 19 researchers, argues for the importance of adapting assessment instruments to better capture language development in varied linguistic environments.
The study, led by Brookes, Southwood, and Mössmer, underscores the need for culturally sensitive tools in developmental psychology. The article is now available online: https://doi.org/n7qm.
