John M. Swales Gave a Colloquium to the English Department at the University of Arizona

John M. Swales, Professor Emeritus, gave a colloquium to the English Department at the University of Arizona on February 2. His topic was "Academic convention and its discontents". He was invited to speak by Christine Tardy, who has a joint degree in Linguistics and Slavic from the University of Michigan. She was recently promoted to Full Professor of English at Arizona.
