Robyn Thum-O'Brien

Robyn Thum-O’Brien is a PhD candidate in English Language and Literature at the University of Michigan. She is co-chair of the Middle English Reading Group and graduate chair of the Forum on Medieval Studies at Michigan, as well as a member of the Early Modern Colloquium. Robyn works on questions of time and narrative, with a focus on what she terms “medieval medievalisms” in Middle English romance. Winner of the 2020 Fair Unknown award from Arthuriana and the International Arthurian Society, her article, "The King, the Giant, and Time: Disordered Temporality in the Alliterative Morte Arthure” was published in issue 32.1 of Arthuriana.

 

She is interested, first and foremost, in a good story.
