Welcome to the Department of English Academic Advising and Student Services page! Students must see an advisor in order to declare a major or minor in English. English majors and minors should meet with an English advisor to have their senior audit submitted; usually the fall semester of their junior year. It is recommended that students meet with a department advisor at least once an academic year. Finally, students are encouraged to meet with their LSA advisor to confirm they have met the degree requirements for LSA. To schedule an appointment with an English advisor, please click the link below. For questions regarding LSA requirements, please visit the Newnan LSA Academic Advising Center website to schedule an appointment with an LSA advisor.
IMPORTANT (please read carefully):
All English advising services will be on hiatus from Friday, December 13 - Tuesday, January 7. This means final appointments will take place the last week of classes and responses to email queries may be delayed up to the beginning of the winter term.
Please note, we are working with our colleagues in the Registrar's Office to code our new winter '25 classes to the appropriate requirement categories, so you may not see newly registered classes populating in your unofficial audit in the correct requirement categories yet. Please take the time to review our requirements webpage thoroughly before reaching out to our advising team with questions. The courses and requirements that appear on that page should reflect in your audit as late as the last week of January.
Best wishes on your exams, projects and papers and we hope you enjoy safe and restful breaks!
