Diyasha Chowdhury is a first year PhD student at the University of Michigan. Her research focuses on the psychic and affective means of Asian racialization and the discursive position of immigrants in the US racial landscape. Before coming to U-M, she taught Composition and Rhetoric to undergraduate students while pursuing her M.A. at Miami University, where her graduate work was awarded the Carolyn Washburn Houtchens award in 2024.
