Greg Schutz

Greg is the author of Joyriders, a collection of stories (University of Massachusetts Press 2025).

His stories have appeared in numerous literary journals, including Ploughshares, Story, American Short Fiction, the Colorado Review, and the Alaska Quarterly Review. They have received the American Short(er) Fiction Prize and have been anthologized in New Stories from the Midwest and Masters Review Anthology X, nominated for three Pushcart Prizes, and listed among the distinguished stories of the year by both Best American Short Stories and Best American Mystery Stories.

A graduate of the Helen Zell Writers' Program at the University of Michigan, Greg has received fellowships and support from the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference, the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts, and the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown.
