About
Caitlyn Ng Man Chuen (she/her) received her BA in English from Toronto Metropolitan University and her MA in Communication and Culture from Toronto Metropolitan and York Universities. Her undergraduate research focused on postcolonial literatures and literatures of migration and movement, while her masters research looked at East Asian popular music and understandings of authenticity. Her current research is centered on feminist and global interests in mixed reality, emerging technologies in popular music, and the materiality of music.
Apart from academic work, Caitlyn has published creative non-fiction and fiction prose pieces with the Malahat Review, Room Magazine, En Bloc Magazine, and more. She enjoys analog photography, building Gunpla, video games, bouldering, and travel. She has a passion for language learning and has lived in four countries.
