About
Cait is broadly interested in the ways notions of “good” form and develop in various mediums. Her research includes projects on travel and tourist photography as it is produced, circulated, and re-produced in ways that are creating new meanings for both travelers/tourists and the sites/places they capture, while her dissertation focuses on the contributions of digital media to a structural disillusionment of US history and identity as they have been understood in a global landscape. Before coming to the University of Michigan, Cait completed an MA in Telecommunication and Film at the University of Alabama and a BA in Film Studies at the University of Tulsa.
