Josh Pasek, Associate Professor in the Departments of Communication and Media and Political Science and Associate Director of the Michigan Institute for Data Science, was recently quoted in an article published by ABC7 New York. The article, titled "Seeing red: How New York City voting trends have changed," reviews the ways New York City's voting patterns differed this year.
Pasek is quoted, "I think it says comparatively that the Trump message is working in a number of communities, that it resonates with a bunch of people and there has been nationally a pretty significant shift toward Trump this cycle."
He also adds, "My guess is that, functionally, New York City is still going to lean left as it were even among the Republican candidates who are vying for any office there but how that line is drawn is a question going forward."
