Help Room and Resources

The Physics Help Room has moved online for Spring 2020! Learning Assistants and Graduate Student Instructors are available to help students through virtual Help Room hours during the Spring 2020 semester. Please click the button below to view the new Help Room schedule.

The Physics Department has the following resources available for students taking introductory physics courses:

  • Physics Help Room (1416 Randall) 
    • Graduate students, undergraduate students, and faculty are available to help students who are taking Introductory Physics classes (135/136; 235/236; 140/141; 240/241)
    • The Help Room hours of operation vary by term and are subject to change. The hours for the Winter 2020 term are:
      • Opens for the term on Monday, January 13 and closes on Friday, April 24
    • Current schedule is posted through the link above
  • Physics Learning Assistants
    • Upper-level undergraduate students are available to help students who are taking Introductory Physics classes in the Physics Help Room 
  • Problem Roulette 
  • Society of Physics Students (SPS)
    • Student run organization for anyone interested in physics
    • Offers tutoring in the Physics Help Room during the fall and winter terms
    • Find a list of private physics tutors on the SPS tutoring website

In addition, there is also the Science Learning Center (1720 Chemistry) that provides study groups for intro physics courses.
