About
I am a senior majoring in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology and Spanish, and I am on the pre-med track. I’m from Troy, MI, which is about an hour from Ann Arbor. I have two younger brothers and two lovely pets, Mimi and Penny. Outside of school, I enjoy running and going for long walks (especially in Ann Arbor :D), baking, and spending time with family. I began my journey with UROP as a first-year student in the residential affiliate program, MRADS, and I love the sense of community and strong mentorship that both MRADS and UROP provide. I am absolutely thrilled to continue working with UROP this year and get to know all the new students and peer facilitators! Some of my personal goals include learning Serbian (my father’s native language), traveling to all seven continents (hefty goal, I realize), running a 10k, and adopting as many pets as I can emotionally and financially afford in my lifetime. At UM, I am also a part of Global Health Alliance and the Serbian Student Association.
My favorite place in Ann Arbor is Nichols Arboretum – aka “the Arb” – for long walks during the fall and spring time. I also LOVE coffee, and my two favorite spots in Ann Arbor are Ondo and Roos Roast. If I’m in the mood for something sweet, I love going to Blank Slate or Michigan Creamery for a little ice cream treat.
