Hi everyone! My name is Rachel, and I am currently majoring in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology with a minor in Pharmacology. After graduating in April 2028, I plan to pursue a PhD in a Biology-related field and potentially become a professor leading my own lab. I've participated in UROP since my freshman year, when I discovered other like-minded peers who are passionate about research. One of the reasons I came to the University of Michigan was for the research opportunities, and UROP has not disappointed. I found an amazing lab in the Department of Computational Medicine and Bioinformatics and built lasting friendships. Besides research, I also enjoy playing the violin, reading books from a wide variety of genres, and participating in sports like volleyball and soccer. UROP has provided me with a launching pad for my research passions, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunities and experiences it has given me!
