I'm Akshitha, an Anthropology major on the pre-medical track planning to graduate in 2027. My time with UROP has been one of the most meaningful experiences at the university. As a student in the Health Sciences program last year, I had the opportunity to work with my inspiring mentor who encouraged me to think about why I choose to engage in research. UROP allows you to make such meaningful connections, not just with mentors, but also with peers who share the same curiosity and drive, and this is something I hope to carry forward in my time here.
