Hi! My name is Kaiwan Bilal, and I'm studying Engineering Physics with a concentration in Quantum Molecular Engineering. I'm also minoring in Music and graduating in May 2028.
Having conducted experimental research in quantum materials and computational work in modeling molecular dynamics, I'm pursuing a career in quantum molecular physics research. I'm preparing for a PhD in Physics and am excited to continue research into applications of advanced theoretical physics! I have loved the community that I've found in UROP, and hope to bring that to my future students :)
Outside of research, I'm very passionate about contributing to the arts. I've played viola since fifth grade, and I recently added violin a few years ago. I've danced hip-hop since freshman year of high school, and I occasionally write poetry. I love trying new modes of creative expression and am looking forward to meeting different researchers at UMich!
