About
Jacob is a rising senior at the University of Michigan and majoring in Psychology. He began his higher education journey at Schoolcraft Community College where he completed an associate’s degree in science and graduated with honors. Before transferring to the University of Michigan, Jacob started his research journey in UROP’s Community College Summer Fellowship Program in 2025. Through this opportunity, Jacob became involved in research with his mentors, Dr. Lauren Girouard and Dr. Susan Gelman, working on their digital privacy projects. Since then, he has presented two Blue Ribbon awarded research presentations at UROP symposiums, received M-LEAD’s “Quite Influence Award” for outstanding research work, and been accepted to present at MPA and APA’s regional and national conferences in Chicago and Washington D.C.
During the summer of 2026, Jacob was an Honors Summer Fellow through the College of LSA and was a SUPER fellow with the American Psychological Association. Throughout this academic year Jacob will continue working on his honors thesis and working as a Peer Facilitator for UROP’s Changing Gears program. Outside of research, Jacob enjoys playing video games, hanging out with friends, and playing soccer. In the future, Jacob hopes to attend graduate school and pursue a PhD in a Psychology related field.
